to the official
Naql El Ilm
project site. This project is dedicated to helping scientists and
engineers inside and outside Algeria improve on the existing
telecommunication infrastructure in Algeria.
Future
battles will be fought in the information age. Nations that do not
have a free and un-inhibited flow of information are doomed to stay
behind. And success for any country in the information age requires a
well thought out integrated telecommunication network encompassing
the latest wireless and wireline technologies in order to become and
stay competitive. Algeria
is no exception.
Naql
El Ilm's
primary goal is to provide Engineers and Scientists in Algeria with
research subjects in the area of telecommunication. In addition, Naql
El Ilm
will attempt to introduce the Small Business incubator
concept
with the hope that university professors and students take on a
leading role in the development and implementation of Algeria's next
telecommunications infrastructure.
Naql
El Ilm
in an embryonic stage at the moment. We have a lot of work to do and
we will need a lot of help. Our first objective is to develop a clear
idea of the existing infrastructure in Algeria. We hope to accomplish
this through seminars that we are currently developing and
discussions with the relevant people in Algeria.
Once
this is accomplished, we would like to invite all interested experts
to contribute in the development of a strategy to upgrade and expand
Algeria's current infrastructure. We hope to involve, as much as
possible, university professors and researchers in Algeria so we can
help in the growth of a local expertise in this field.
We
would also like to start collecting documentation to be delivered to
researchers and scientist in Algeria. Initially we are interested in
information on CDs, it greatly simplifies transport logistics. Later
we will collect books and other printed material.
